Some of us have been involved in testing out the new elite dungeons on testlive, and I thought it would be a good plan to give a bit of information. There's not going to be masses of detail, just some generalised bits. This is of course not final, but based on what we've seen there are some things to know.

    Tanking:
They had us testing with lots of hp gear. Aggro management with full hp talismans is ok (which was a surprise), but in blues it's worth having some attack minors.
Bosses hit HARD. Don't think you can get away with one hp major and minor like in tsw. Learn your tanking cooldowns because we're actually going to need them!
You NEED to use your extra hate abilities. If you don't, you'll lose aggro fast. You may still lose aggro if people are using hate power attacks as dps (if you're dps, you may want to think about switching your build around to avoid them).

    Healers:
AR healing is stupidly hard. Like I've not seen anyone manage it level of hard.
Blood is ok, but makes you work when it comes to group heals.
Fist is still the go to OP heal weapon.
Get used to healing hard with your heart in your mouth. Tanks can easily get hit for 75% of their hp, and if you aren't ready, you'll wipe.

    DPS:
Adds hit like trucks. Environmental damage hits like a train. Remember when you could stand in fire and the healer would keep you up? Well now, if you haven't moved out of the fire, you'll be dead by the time the healer notices you.
Think about utility you can bring. There's a lot of times when a bit of cleansing or group healing will help take pressure off the healer.

We are going to die. A lot. Don't get salty, take it as a challenge and beat that bad boy for phat loot!

Thanks for the overview AWOL, I for one am down for this as soon as elites go live so feel free to let me know when we're getting that exploratory group together to test the first iteration of released Elites 😝

We're going to need to work out who has tank and healing gear sorted. It'll need blues minimum for Elite 1, and there's a item power requirement to be able to queue for them, so it's not something we can choose to ignore i think.

Depending on how much talisman "food" I get, I should be ready to heal by the time. Have 3 radiant blues already, head, major and minor, working on more.

I'm working on a healing set. They're all radiant, but as of the 18th July 2017, half of them are still green.

Once I have them up enough, I'll be a healer.

It's worth grabbing a tank and having a bit of an experiment with healing tbh. I was able to keep Double up with 2 green lvl 20s and a load of blues under lvl 10. Elite 1 is not a massive step up (apparently E2 is), so don't be afraid to give it a go before you're 100% sure you're ready!

Double is very very sturdy though, so not a good example 😝 . But yeah healing needs much less gear compared to other roles. Like DPS for example, most people do not parse or have a good rotation, so almost all of their DPS comes from brute gear power. And tanks tend to be geared or dead, their mitigation stats and glyphs are what makes healing easy.
