    Hey all!

    I've joined the small but important ranks of Aussies in ODO 😝

    I played when the game came in (in 2009?), did the main story, a couple of nm dungeons, and then stopped. Now, several years later I come back a wiser (read: have more experience at MMOs). Slightly horrified at how all over the place my deck is, but at least I don't have to start from ground zero. (Although part of me is tempted to, just to experience the main storyline again...)

    I previously played a fistol healer, because it was easy (I didn't have to know the map, produce decent dps, or tank.) This time around, I plan to have
    Fistol Healer
    Fist/Blood healer (probably a bit nicer, esp with woodcutters)
    * AR/Blood healer

    .. as I feel that if I market myself as healer, it would be good to change builds depending on the circumstance.

    All that said, after doing some basic research, I'm making a standard DBAS build for dps too - when I actually train myself to time the EF proc with the shootout finisher properly, I might branch out a bit. Right now I'm putting more stock in the group buffs than my own dps (meaning: Experience, and the DBAS-faster-cooldown passives) but I hope that as I get the rhythm down, it might actually be worth having me around as a DPS.

    My short term goals are to catch up on the "issues" storylines, and finish off all the nm dungeons. Long term: hopefully to join raids and things 🙂

    In any case, that's what I intend to bring to the party - I hope to see you guys around.

    Cheers!

    Rickart

    Welcome 😀

    As far as healing builds go, try fist/ele to bring SF as well, ruby curtain builds with WC and bloodline + ftm blood healing builds. Then up the HP of your build, go first/chaos and you have just branched out to healtanking 😀 You'll love it

    And a friendly 'hello' from across the pond. I guess we'll be seeing a fair bit of each other since we're in similar time zones.

    🙂
