Small tweak, added a black ring and white comb in the cross.

I liked it without the ring more. Is the darker field at the bottom for the menu?

Yeha, i'd been thinking that some kind of bar along the bottom would blend well into the menu.

Shifted the stuff up as the majority of a picture would be behind the forums. Added faction coloured cells and some for the black signal.

It's a bit chaotic AWOL. Colours are a bit disorganised. Maybe if you got a world map and did the honey comb effect and coloured the areas faction specific. I know I like complex and I know it's not the best route but I dunno. Maybe some shadow to the logo or bevel, the outline blended colour wise and some bevel. I'm trying to work on something similar but the 3d is a pain in the honey comb. Drawplus X8 keeps crashing on me 🙁 You could get a map of Asia, Europe and America and throw them in honeycombed, black background or something?

Tbh, the colours are meant to be disorganised. Part of the idea is that different parts of the whole are controlled by different factions and influences, and it's not tidy - there are layers of control and a lot of overlap.
I agree though that it doesn't look wonderful, just didn't quite come out as i was hoping.

What you have reminded me of though is the map they used for the secret war ARG, just need to see if I can find a copy...

I was just about to post something quick and dirty,.. and the above puts that into perspective, of the ooh that's crap kinda perspective lol. I'll nick the above and work on it.

I put an isolated PNG on my photobucket site with as near to the above with colours instead of the honeycombs:

So you are planning to add in PvP objectives, with small icons for SH, El D and Fusang linked to the areas of the map? Then an ODO logo superimposed and a few bling elements?

At the moment I'm still playing around with ideas, not got anything concrete yet. I'll try and do a bit more on it today so I can get something better to look at 🙂
