So I needed a new compressor for my shop. After waffling for months, I decided that yesterday was the day. I went out and bought this huge 60-gallon behemoth, strapped it down to the bed of my truck, and brought her home. I did all of the right things to get it off the bed. It was quite heavy. I strapped it to a dolly to make more manageable. As I walked it down the ramp, I stumbled, fell, and broke my right wrist.
I called my wife, who is in upper management at the hospital, and she had me all preregistered before I got there.
To sum it up, the pain is pretty bad and they got me on oxy. I'm typing off-handed, which really blows. I go in for a consultation this morning, and surgery tomorrow. They need to insert pins to line the bones up correctly.
What irritates me the most that I will need to delay my endeavors of bike-building until February sometime. I was going to begin work on rebuilding the nine motorcycles that I have stored in my shed.
Now it'll have to wait and I am so grumpy about it.
Thanks for reading.
