Hey all!
As you may know, we had a dungeons event on the 24th of March the point of which was to pre-arrange shuffled groups to get people together that might not normally run much content together, for one reason or another. As always with organising something for the very first time, it was a little bit of trial and error, so I made this thread to hopefully get some feedback from those that participated, any comments, suggestions for the next time (if you even want to see another one of these happening, etc.)
My own thoughts and what I would do differently if there were to be a next time:
I think the biggest hiccup came from the fact that some groups were missing people. We had 17 sign-ups, so I figured it's a pretty safe bet to assume we can get 3 people to join each rotation who had not signed up (which we did, by and large). However, I failed to take into account that some people who signed might not show up, might have to leave unexpectedly, etc, leading to a little more confusion than we really needed. Learning moments for the future: 1) really stress the importance of signing off if you're not going to make it or letting people know if you're going to be late, so I wouldn't count in people who are not going to be there; 2) maybe think of having a check-in time 15 minutes before starting to know who's there and who's not, to make changes if necessary.
Maybe limit the planned rotations to 3 30-minute changes, to make the event shorter and also to take into consideration the fact that some people might not want to spend MoF on keys (i.e. if a Patron runs 1 dungeon each rotation, spending 18 keys total; it'd also be easier on non-Patrons with 10 daily keys to spend).
Have someone coordinate the groups and help out who is not participating in any groups themselves. This is more from my own perspective, but I found it really weird trying to tank a dungeon myself and also try to keep an eye on 3 other groups. That'd probably be easier on everyone organisation-wise as well.
Any general comments on the event, ideas, suggestions, etc, leave 'em down below.
