E10 Ready People Post Here!

Take your time and remember to have fun, first. The last thing we need is for you to burn out. And I'm not just saying that because my IP is 965 and I'm going to beat you to gitting gud. 😀

Although, I feel the need to rain on the parade a little bit. As much as I'd love to try and go see e10, then even if we get the people together, it's not just about getting over the IP threshold by any means necessary. Tbh, I seriously doubt that many (if any) of the "qualified by IP" people have the hit for it, and that includes me, and I suspect TS. Even if we both get the IP, we're then barely at-level and will glance like all hell, meaning holding aggro will be super fun against people whose hits actually connect - and for those who don't, we just miss out on a lot of dps. I'm not saying wait until we're old and grey (i.e. once we manage to level hit glyphs appropriately), but just trying to keep expectations reasonable here and remind everyone that IP isn't be-all-end-all.

We'd gladly have you, but tbh after the initial rush of wanting to see E10 NYR and doing like 3 practice runs, the interest seems to have died down/people didn't like wiping for an hour and we haven't gotten anywhere near 10 signups the past 3 weeks - we've gotten tanks to sign up and maybe a dps, but we mostly suffer from the fact that we lack e10 geared healers who would be interested. Right now, I think only Touka and Yuu can/have healed it, and Yuu is suffering from a bit of a burnout on the game and is taking a hiatus...

I'd love to make another push for it, though. Next scheduled practice run is tomorrow at 6.30 GMT, maybe if we manage to pester people in-game enough today, might get enough signups, maybe we can convince Duude and Touka to heal 😀

Yeah, that really is the problem. Hammer-chaos sustain tanks don't need healers up until higher elites, but once the healers are back in demand for higher elites, almost all of them have given up by that point.

No, Keeper, unless you're overgeared (which is kind of hard for higher elites), and unless you run in dps gear but with tank allocation and are willing to neglect everything else that you're supposed to be doing like purging and impairing, you most likely need some sort of heals. You saying that E10 NYR can be sustained without a healer, actually proves my point - I'm relatively at-level for that, a bit over 1k IP and unless it's Immutable, I'm dead, because I just don't have the HP to take the hits, because other dcd's don't protect you from death (i.e. being able to take more hits would require higher hp and better gear, having far over the required 1k IP).

In my experience, I would say that e5, e6, maaaybe even e7 were fine to sustain tank relatively at-level, but after that it increasingly becomes about overgearing and/or being a dps-turned-tank who runs in dps gear - that being due to the fact that tanks in actual tank gear can not very effectively use 4 defensive cooldowns, because Pain Suppression doesn't work properly due to glancing hits. So....stfu XD
