Need to poke at them again, but Agnitio has had it scheduled on their calendar. I believe we also tried to contact Art of War, but I don't know if anything's come of it.
We also need a set structure beforehand to tell the attendees what to expect.

How about 30 minutes of free for all. then 20 of teams of 2 or 3 and then end with a public announcement in the lft channel and or pvp channel inviting anyone to free for all til the end?
Sure. Although idk if it's worth calling more people in just at the end - especially if it's people we don't know, it might be like "oh, what's this? Oh, it's already over?". But of course we never call it at the end of the hour, there's always people hanging around for longer. Although in that case I'd say it'd make more sense doing teams in the beginning, I'd say it'd be a little weird to go battle royale, then teams, then break up again.
In my experience, people kind of meander in, so scheduling groups at the front might have too small a pool, We can announce the team part during the freefight part and hope for self organization-team wise and set a time certain to begin. If we reserve the center circle for teaming, we can let ungrouped singles continue around the outside. The public announcement has seldom brought much response but we needn't do it at all.
Thanks to the attendees. We seemed to have some response from other Cabals and, while most folks came alarmingly late, the event went into overtime and I thought people were having fun. Maybe next time we start an hour later? Or do you thing it was a sunday/seasonal thing that kept players away at the start?
Probably Sunday/Seasonal? But we can also try an hour later, sure.
New Fight Club Scheduled. Sunday Sept 23 3pm eastern (GMT-4) 7pm GMT
Starting an hour later than we recently have. Perhaps that will get some folks that can't make it earlier.
Just to mention, it will be the first anniversary of Father Duffy's Fight Club on the 6th of October. I don't know if you wanted to organise another one for then, but it made me smile when I realised! I won't be available on the 6th myself, got a Stag Night to run!
I truly hadn't noticed. I have an out if town Commitment that weekend but it's worth noting in some way... Enjoy your Drunken Bacchanal !! (Make Good Choices)
So we've done fight Club on both Saturday and Sunday and at both 2 and 3 (Eastern gmt-4) There are complicating confounding variables in the question "Which day or time is best"
So the weekend of the 27th - Sat Sun or (new thought)Friday ? Time Around when we have been or earlier or Later? 2. 3. ?
Whaddaya think?
I think you'll get more participation on a weekend. Also, on a more personal note, Fridays aren't good for me because that's my tabletop gaming night. I basically go to work, log in and burn a few scenario keys, then go kick kobold ass with my level 3 rogue for the rest of the night.
As for Saturday vs. Sunday and 2pm vs. 3pm. . . It seemed like there wasn't much difference either way, at least when I was present. I find the Sunday version after the E10 practice to be more convenient, because I'm not tempted to log off and do other stuff.
Yeah, I think Sundays are better, since there are more people online for the raid. Weekend nights in any case, Friday (or any workday, for that matter) would be a bad idea, because Friday EU evenings people might want to go out and the US crowd would still be at work at that time.
FIGHT CLUB SET for Sunday Oct 28thafter the raid. Details under events!
A Note: I'm on a special Mission for Rome for Maybe 10 days. See you around the 15th.
When you come back, I'll try to catch you in-game to pass on a little token of appreciation for all your initiative for this year of Fight Clubs ;)
A Hearty "Thank You" is more than enough. And Beer.
