If you've had a problem with a cabal member, then it's your call if you feel it's big enough to bring it to the attention of the cabal officers (obviously).
It's up to you if it's just something like sending a whisper of "cabal member X was a real pain in the ass on this run, just thought you ought to know".
If you feel that someone has seriously transgressed, then we ask you to follow these procedures:
1. Screenshot the conversation if possible
This is the biggest one really. Having a screenshot allows the officers to see exactly what happened. We suggest removing the rest of your UI with ctrl-X and making your chat window as big as possible to fit as much into a single screenshot as you can, but please make several screenshots if needed. The game has a screenshot function bound to F11, or use the Prt Scr button and then paste (ctr-V) to another program if you prefer.
Now, if it happened on Discord, then you're not going to be able to screenshot it. Please let us know who else was around, what was going on etc. The more information we have, the faster we can get stuff sorted.
2. Talk to an officer ASAP
We don't want there to be any problems in the cabal which fester or don't get dealt with because there wasn't someone on at the time. You can mail any Master Commanders and Grand Master with any concerns, both in-game, on Discord and via the cabal website. If your problem is with an officer, we suggest you include the Grand Master in who you send it to.
Excluding extreme cases (with clear evidence being key), we try to resolve problems by talking to both sides.
We will get in touch with the member who has had the complaint laid against them and have a chat to get their side of the story. We are not looking to cause any drama in cabal, so this will be done in private, but will most likely be in whispers so that there is a record of what has been discussed. This information will be shared with all of the officers, so that everyone knows who has said what, and has all of the relevant information.
We will tell people who has made a complaint about them, and the full nature of the complaint so that they can give a full account of their perspective.
The details of any discussions will not be made public.
The Master Commanders and Grand Master will then discuss the issue, and decide if any further action is necessary. Any subsequent action taken is at the discretion of the Master Commanders and Grand Master collectively. This may range from putting people on probation, demoting members back to Squire for a period; through to removing people from the cabal. Kicking members from the cabal is not something we have to do regularly, but it is something which we will do if we feel that a members actions warrant it.
