The grue is a sinister, lurking presence in the dark places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

You open your eyes, revealing the room to not quite be as dark as first seemed. Perhaps the fears of being eaten by a grue were unfounded. A small, high-set grated window casts the only light in the room but being a moonless night you can not see much more than vague outlines in the shadows. Stumbling and fumbling around the room you find it to consist of not much more than a door, the occasional pile of stones and the hard bench where you lay.

A warm, humid air whistles through the window. Outside, far below the window, you're able to make out haphazard decaying stone ruins in the star light. You think you catch a glimpse of something scuttling among the shadows but it's gone within the blink of an eye. You dismiss it as a figment of your imaginaton.

You whirl the towel in circles to fashion a whip, in the process the moist substance is squeezed out and pools into a puddle on the floor. All those playful times in the school changing rooms will finally pay off.

From what you can tell in the dim light the door is featureless, not even a door handle, but is obviously of extremely sturdy construction. Despite attempting to push, pull, and slide the door it doesn't budge. From the sturdy construction it's clear the makers didn't intend for this door to be easily opened, at least not from this side.

The door is LOCKED.
