You knock and await a response, nothing. You knock again, louder this time, and listen with your ear against the door in the hopes of better hearing something on the otherside. Instead, you hear a faint electrical hum emanating from inside the door, suggesting the door's locking mechanism is far more advanced than the decor would lead you to believe. May be with a lightsource you could locate an access panel.

A puddle of kerosene. It is pooled in an imperfection of the floor from when you fashioned your towel whip.

use flint on puddle
squeeze kerosene into lamp
put flint into lamp
bang the 2 stones together creating a spark to light the lamp

You now have Oil lamp (no fuel) and Towel whip [equipped]

You plop the flint into the puddle a couple times. Watching the faint ripples outlined in the moonlight. Nothing happens.

You squeeze the puddle, causing it to slosh and squirt around on the floor. After much trying you only manage to get a few drops into the lamp while making your hand very wet.

The flint is too big to fit inside the lamp.

There is a satisfying clunk as you bash the Flint into the Cursed Loadstone but not much interesting happens.
