Hopefully, you've seen that we've implemented a new points system in the last few days called Kick Ass Points (KAPs).
The idea here is that we want to recognise and acknowledge the people who help each other out in ODO, and we felt that having a way to track that other than word of mouth would be useful!
Every member of ODO can give and receive KAPs, but you'll need to have set up your characters on the site. For info on how to do that, check out the site's FAQ.
KAPs can be given out at omnedatumoptimum.red/give or from the overview page at omnedatumoptimum.red/overview or by clicking on the "left to give" button on the topbar.
You can see who's already been given KAPs recently at omnedatumoptimum.red/nice-list or by clicking on your score on the topbar.
We think that it's a great idea to reward our members for being nice to each other, so we're going to be doing some prize draws using the nice list 😀
These draws will not be advertised in advance, and they won't be at regular intervals. We may do one in a month, then two in the same day - we're crazy that way! What that means is that we advise against waiting to give people KAPs - hand them out when you think someone's been helpful, don't wait! You can give 15 people KAPs each week, and you can't give the same person KAPs twice (even by giving them to different characters).
If you run into any problems using KAPs, or have any questions, please let us know. We are fortunate to have had this system custom made for us by Hlopushka, so we should hopefully be able to fix any problems that we haven't found in testing quickly 😀
There's a script you can download on the overview page which makes giving out KAPs quicker in game, so we recommend everyone downloads it.
