NITE Team 4

From the people who brought you The Black Watchmen ARG and the TSW ARGs a new game set in the same universe was announced.

The big selling point for TSW fans is that there will be unique items like a jacket for your toon (and a free backpack for all players) as well as an ARG crossing both games. The ARG will start in TSW and take you into NT4.

To be honest I'm a little concerned about this. While an ARG for TSW is good, I don't like the precedent of locking content away behind a third party's games (especially when it costs $25).

What are your thoughts on this?

Same reservation, Kle. Anything new is good, but is this good? It's the "will I, won't I?" with this one, probably will just for the hell of it. Last few ARGs were a total bust as far as I remember, but maybe they can set the tone and funding right with this one, so a wavering horizontal thumb.

The #IAMTSW Arg was completely created and run by Tomium with no support from Funcom. The End of Days one back in 2012 wasn't too bad but not as popular as the pre-launch one.

I am hesitant to give them money as I don't want Funcom to think they can do this with their own games and we start seeing missions locked behind a purchase of "Death of an Orochi"

I don't really have a problem with Black Watchmen and the crossover, but it's not something I'm feeling terribly attracted to. The jacket might be nice, but I'd rather wait and see what the actual game is like first!
