So I've had some tech difficulty that has made TSW die every time I change Areas or port to a new location. It has pretty much rendered the game unplayable for now. Soooo, I found a pleasant Planet with a nice climate, few cops and a great deal of Genuinely nasty Fauna deep into the No Man's Sky Galaxy.. I named the Planet Omne Datum Optimum. I named its system Odo. I'm still exploring so the only named creature so far is the Pyre Beast- avoiding it is recommended. More Named creatures to come.

Don't forget the Grump-monster-from-the-dark-abyss Hollo-Dark-Fang-Run-Beast, he'll bight your head off man 😝 Easily countered though, just throw down a crate of TemplarFast (TM) and run!

If you have some mods installed Father, try trouble shooting those. Or it could be a ... umm.... I dunno. Cuda problem? Try iindie's DLL's maybe. Though game should run without iindie's DLL's maybe they might be a fix. Tried repairing game? Or, I hate to say, a fresh install 🙁 Other than that, yeah contact customer support.

Thanks for the suggestions. The trouble came on suddenly- as in something changed. I'm suspicious of my installing the newest drivers for my nvidia card. THAT was what kept me out of No Man's Sky at first. If it's a video thing, I'm thinking there are some settings to mess with and see what happens - surely the newest driver can't be incompatible with a game I've run successfully for years. I think it's more of a trial and error problem for now. If I can't get it, I'll talk to tech support. If I have to, I'll try the old drivers. In any case, you're not rid of me yet.
Last night I discovered HolloPoint Island....

Very often (as I've read from forums on Nvidia) don't update driver unless you really, really think it's necessary. You might want to revert to a previous version of Nvidia divers.

You might want to completely remove the new (borked sounds to me) version you have....

    www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Will take care of those pesky hard to remove files.

You will need to use this to stop windows from just reinstalling the new (borked) drivers...

    support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930

To temporarily prevent the driver from being reinstalled until a new driver fix is available, a troubleshooter is available that provides a user interface to hide and show Windows updates and drivers for Windows 10.

To run the troubleshooter, open wushowhide.diagcab, select Next, and then follow the instructions in the troubleshooter to hide the problematic driver or update.

I did this a few months back when getting screen in and out black out problems with new drivers... turns out the Display Port Cable I was using was not working correctly, but at least I found out how to do a clean install of Nvidia GPU drivers 🙂

I'm thinking it isn't the nvidia drivers because, if I switch tsw to work with the built in intel video (which always worked) it fails in exactly the same way.
