I need to set up a personal website. I do not have the technical ability or inclination to learn so have been looking at some of the website builders around. Seeing as you lot are a smart bunch, any thoughts on the best?

I use Serif Webplus X 8 Cult. Check it out. HTML 5 very easy to use and adapt, gives templates for many formats as well. Pretty good. They often have special offers where they "discount" from RRP.

I think so Cult, I've not done any web hosting through Serif, but that sound about right.

You can pay, that helps increase traffic. But clever use of tagging and regular traffic also helps get you higher on the google listings. Also Google is giving priority to sites that are mobile friendly now so if two sites do the same thing the one which has a mobile version will appear first.
