Looks cool, but that's more like taking minecraft to next level than lego, the style of the game really resembles it. I think anything like lego MMO needs to focus on building with legos and make combat optional like if you visit a dragon lair someone has built. Lego movie concept of master builders is probably best thing to use as core for a lego MMO.
On side note I gave my eldest chrome lego thing and she just loves to build something with it, tries stuff out, and does not even notice poor selection of special blocks. Gave her lego minifigures and it was no interest at all.
it's the kind of thing which could have been done with lego though - I totally agree that this is more like minecraft, but the similarity with lego is still pretty obvious.
Don't get me wrong both trove and minecraft have gameplay elements of free build/rebuild which made lego such a timeless toy, and minecraft is closest game I know of to what lego MMO should have been.
There are 2 things in my mind however which are required to make a lego game, first is actual lego blocks, their shape has become iconic and is easily recognized, same as minifigures, second is starting with a pile of blocks and going from there. Minecraft for example requires you to gather before you can build, and while you can build and take apart and rebuild like lego it comes in as secondary objective after surviving. Tove based on impression from video also is adventure game primarily and building secondary.
Will show that to the kids, think they'll like that one, thx
