Thespians and The Things They Do

So the Game has, since I started, handed me "New England Theatrics" and a dozen successors. For a while I stored them away, For a while I tossed them away. Then one day I rented the theatre and started playing with the theatrics. It's pretty amazing. Much is possible.

First I want to know if anyone has ever attended or heard of anyone putting on a real show. Anyone?
If so, how'd that go? Anything you know I'd like to hear.

Second, I'd like to know if there would be any interest in participating in a Theatrical event. On stage, backstage or just attending as an audience.

This is very preliminary. I'm not even sure it's practicable. But I think I'd like to find out.

C'mon Kids, Let's put on a Show!

I know I absolutely love RP and I'm totally willing to be as campy or as serious as needs be for a stage show.
I haven't participated in one in game, but I do help out a lot between the drama and chorus department at my school, so I'm totally willing to help with scripts, staging, and things.

Excellent! May I suggest, If you haven't done so lately, when you have an hour or so and a bit of money, enter the theatre, rent it and play with a new england theatrics (or any such theatrics) just to get a feel for what's possible. I think you'll be impressed.

There was some event with theatrics a while back. I suggest poking TSW-RP community, they should have some leads 🙂 Or ask Kle or Psy, they tend to be in the middle of it often times.

So I hooked up with the TSW-RP folks and they do some stuff in the Albion occasionally. Also. Radio Free Gaia does some shows there. I attended one and they made good if static use of the Staging tools, lights, setpieces, backdrops and weather as well as individual activities like costuming and dance. An education. More to learn.
I'd like to know how many attendees are permitted, how much staging is possible and practical, stuff like that.

I'm game!
